Last July, I went to Malaysia with my family to spend our vacation there. We went to a lot of beautiful places like Kuala Lumpur, the capital, Langkawi and Penang.
In Kuala Lumpur, we went to Genting which is about half an hour from the capital. Genting is located on top of the Kuala Lumpur Mountains. Over there, there is an amusement park called Genting Park which I think is the most enjoyable place for fun beside the park in Sunway lagoon resort. The best and fastest way to reach Genting is to use the cable car “Telfrek”; and it is around fifteen minutes from down station to up station, while if you went by a car it will take around 1 hour. The weather on top of the mountain is totally different compared to down and the day we went there it was cloudy and very cold. We spent more than 10 hours over there from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. playing with different games. When we were back home from Genting, we went to the “Night Market” which is a huge market that has many traditional products with surprisingly very cheap prices.
The day after, we went to Sunway lagoon resort because they have different attractions such as Water Park, Amusement Park, Extreme Park, Wildlife Park, and Scream Park. It was really a fantastic place to visit because they gather different destinations together, the watery area, the playing area, Animal Park and many more. Then, we went to the highest building in Kuala Lumpur which is Kuala Tower to have our lunch there. Its construction started in 1991 and finished in 1995, and it reaches 421 m (1,381 ft) and 335 m (1,099 ft) roofs, which currently makes it the second tallest freestanding tower in the world. The rest of the tower below has a stairwell and an elevator to reach the upper area. The tower is the landmark of Kuala Lumpur with nearby PETRONAS Tower (Twin Towers).
Then, we moved to Langkawi which is the best destination because it is far from high buildings, factories and constructions companies. It mainly depends on its nature. Langkawi is made up of 104 islands and Langkawi is the largest residential island of all of these islands. In Langkawi, we went to the second highest peak there which is “Gunung Mat Chinchang” by a cable car and it is over 700 meters. From this highest peak we saw amazing views and we walked on the Langkawi Sky Bridge which is located there. Also, we went to the “Pregnant Maiden Lake” by boat which was really like a pregnant woman and we enjoyed our time by taking photos. Langkawi Mangrove Tours was an extremely fantastic destination because we did many things on this tour such as Bat Cave, Fish Farm, Eagle Feeding, and Mangrove Sightseeing. Also, in Langkawi they have an Eagle Square and some shops beside it. Furthermore, we visited Penang which is one of the most developed and economically important states in the country. In Penang, we went to a tea and coffee factory. We also went to Penang Hill and we visited the Indian temple and a mosque there.
Last but not least, our trip to Malaysia was really fantastic and a wonderful place to visit. We spent a very nice time and we enjoyed our time there.
